Bonner’s Den Ranch is the second book in The Bonner Series. Fergus Bjonner and his family found enough gold in Idaho to purchase a large ranch in Montana. Shortly after the purchase, they had to hurry to the ranch to escape the wrath of Chief Joseph’s warriors. Fergus began raising cattle and valuable Appaloosa horses. His wife, Morgan, began a large potato-growing operation. They faced many trials and tribulations, such as cattle rustling and predator control, to create a successful ranch. Their daughter married young, but to a man who inherited a large bordering ranch. Other ranches were bought for the children. Eventually, Fergus and Morgan retire from ranching and move to the nearby mountains.
